Regulatory Affairs
We deploy personnel to interface regularly with regulatory agencies including negotiation of grey areas or special dispensations to address exigencies and ensure prompt approval and permitting of activities.
Overview
Nigeria’s upstream oil and gas sector is perhaps one of the most regulated in the country. In addition to the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the sector is regulated by a number of other government agencies.
Unfortunately, regulatory and permit requirements pertaining to various stages of oil and gas activities are not readily known and this often results in inadvertent violation of permit requirements and/or budget and schedule overruns.
To mitigate these consequences, ERML works with clients to develop permitting plans for ongoing and planned activities. We also deploy personnel to interface regularly with regulatory agencies including negotiation of grey areas or special dispensations to address exigencies and ensure prompt approval and permitting of activities.
ERML works with all key regulatory agencies across the oil and gas value chain and in other sectors
